Georges Bizet's opera Carmen premiered on Friday, October 23, at the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb, by maestro Marcello Mottadelli and director Arnaud Bernard.
The staging of a demanding and one of the most popular operas such as Carmen at the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb after 17 years is a testimony to the times in which we live. This is also visible during the performance, especially artists' energy, given the epidemiological circumstances to which it is adapted.
Georges Bizet's masterpiece focuses on the interpersonal dynamics that change during the development of our story, talking about seduction, desires, loss of self, blood... said the director who designed the scene of the new Carmen without stage props with an emphasis on quality acting of the whole ensemble.
