EXIT 2.0 — We're Back!

Exit 2.0 Fireworks. Marko Edge.

The big celebration of the 20th anniversary of the EXIT festival began last night at 19:00 with the opening of the gates at the Petrovaradin Fortress, with which the two-time European festival champion wrote another great page of his and global music history. EXIT is the first major festival to be held on European soil this summer and the first mass music gathering in this area, organized under strict and elaborate security measures, which have been implemented in the last few days. In the evening full of emotions, 42,000 fans from over 70 countries did not stop dancing to the music of Exit's headliners, of which the shortest, but also the most precise message of healing was sent by DJ Snake, saying "We're back!". The festivals returned to many lives last night and sent a strong message that mass events can take place safely and be a part of our everyday life again. It is a great symbolism that this happened at Exit, which 20 years ago was a symbol of the return of normal life in the region, and this 2021 is a sign of the return of normal life to the entire planet.

Powerful DJ Snake and Charlotte de Witte, dancing Amelie Lens, shining future of rock'n'roll Butch Cassidy, old masters Cold Beer, fantastic Senidah and Tijana T, legendary Roni Size, inspired headliners Visa Fusion stage Vojko V, Sajsi MC, Helem Nejse , Marco Louis and Fran Palermo, electronic underground heroes No Sleepa, the gang star Gang Beats powered by Noizz stage and hundreds of other performers made Petrovaradin Fortress the absolute musical epicenter of Europe last night. One of the headliners of the first day, the Belgian techno star Charlotte de Vitte, pointed out on the eve of the performance: "The reunion with tens of thousands of fans from all over the world is an emotional event. Exit’s mts Dance Arena is one of the most amazing stages in the world and has such an atmosphere, especially in the early morning hours, when the sun rises above the fortress walls. It will be truly magical. "Along with the already traditional fireworks, one of the most impressive moments of the opening night was the triumph of youth and freedom in the opening ceremony called" Let's Celebrate Life ". And it just started!

Day 2 at the fortress!

Tonight, a new star line is coming to Novi Sad. The great German DJ and producer Paul Kalkbrenner will have his first performance at the mts Dance Arena after an 18-month break. He will use it to record a video that will also serve as a diary of the days when he returned to live performances, which reflects the symbolism of Exit. Along with him, the trench of the Arena will be "held" by Maceo Plex, Pan-Pot, who are a replacement for Denis Sulta, Marko Nastic, Layzie and Runy. Other sounds will resonate on the main stage. The program at 20:00 opens with Nemesis, followed by heavy metal giants Sabaton at 21:00 and rock machine Van Gogh. The dance part of the evening is led by German DJ Topic, Lady Lee and Ece Ekren. Visa Fusion stage is opened by one of the winners of the Play @ EXIT competition Kenny is not dead, then Ivan Jegdić, Serbian HEMI winners Dogs In Kavala, followed by Amira Medunjanin, Atheist Rap, Goblins and finally Fox & Surreal.

Official procedures for entering the festival

EXIT has published on its website the official procedures for visitors to enter this year's edition of the festival. Entry to the Fortress, until Sunday, July 11, will be restricted to those who either hold a Digital Green Certificate, meaning they have been vaccinated or have passed Kovid-19, or to those who have a negative rapid antigen or PCR test. EXIT has provided free quick tests for ticket buyers at the Novi Sad Fair until the last day of the festival, while those who enter with invitations will be able to do those tests in the laboratories of Aqualab and Jugolab throughout Serbia, and Medlab and Biotest in Novi Sad, with which EXIT agreed on cooperation and benefited prices only for festival visitors. "Safe events Serbia" security protocol, in accordance with the latest scientific research, will make summer festivals in Serbia the safest gatherings in the country, far safer than various celebrations, shopping malls, cafes and other gathering places where such rules do not apply.
